Terms, Conditions & Operational Policy

Effective Date: March 2026

By booking, purchasing, or requesting services, you (“Client”) agree to the following terms:

1. Nature of Service (No Guarantee of Recovery)

JOCO Pet Search & Rescue provides search, location, and recovery assistance using drones, thermal imaging, tracking strategy, and/or trapping methods.

  • Recovery is not guaranteed
  • Outcomes depend on animal behavior, environment, timing, and external factors beyond control
  • Payment is for deployment, time, expertise, and resources — not for a guaranteed result

2. Cancellation Policy (Service-Based Retention)

Due to the immediate and resource-intensive nature of this service:

  • $100 retained once consultation, communication, or case strategy has begun
  • $200 retained once deployment, travel, or on-site operations have begun

These retained amounts reflect:

  • Reserved deployment time
  • Operational readiness
  • Equipment preparation
  • Active case management

By booking, you acknowledge and accept these retention terms.

3. Emergency & Priority Deployment

Emergency/Priority services are intended for recent escapes or active sightings.

  • Deployment timing is not guaranteed to be immediate
  • Priority cases are scheduled based on availability, safety, and logistics
  • By booking, you are securing placement in the active deployment queue

4. Safety & Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

KC Aerial Vision / JOCO Pet Search & Rescue reserves the right to:

  • Delay, modify, or cancel operations at any time due to:
    • Unsafe conditions
    • Weather
    • Airspace restrictions
    • Environmental hazards
    • Aggressive or unpredictable animal behavior
  • Terminate a deployment on-site if conditions are deemed unsafe

No guarantee of continuation once safety thresholds are met.

5. Animal Behavior & Risk Acknowledgment

Client understands:

  • Lost animals may behave unpredictably, including:
    • Fleeing
    • Aggression
    • Injury to themselves or others
  • Use of traps, bait, drones, or human presence may influence behavior

KC Aerial Vision is not responsible for:

  • Injury to the animal
  • Escape or relocation of the animal
  • Behavioral outcomes during or after deployment

6. Injury & Liability Waiver

Client agrees that:

  • KC Aerial Vision LLC is not liable for injuries to:
    • The animal
    • The client
    • Third parties
  • Client assumes all risk associated with:
    • Wildlife interaction
    • Domestic animal recovery
    • Environmental hazards

7. No Liability for Death of Animal

Under no circumstances shall KC Aerial Vision LLC be held responsible for:

  • Illness, injury, or death of the animal, whether occurring:
    • Before
    • During
    • Or after deployment

8. Access & Property Conditions

Client is responsible for:

  • Securing permission for property access if required
  • Providing accurate last known location and details

KC Aerial Vision is not responsible for:

  • Inaccessible areas
  • Restricted zones
  • Neighbor/property disputes

9. Flight Operations & FAA Compliance

  • All drone operations are conducted by an FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot
  • Flights are performed only where legally permitted
  • Operations may be adjusted or canceled due to:
    • FAA restrictions
    • Temporary flight restrictions (TFRs)
    • Airspace limitations

10. Equipment & Technology Limitations

Client understands:

  • Thermal imaging and tracking tools have limitations
  • Environmental factors such as:
    • Temperature
    • Terrain
    • Obstructions
    • Animal concealment
      may impact effectiveness

11. Refund Policy

  • No refunds once:
    • Deployment has begun
    • Travel is initiated
    • On-site operations occur
  • Pre-deployment cancellations are subject to the Cancellation Policy above

12. Media & Operational Documentation

KC Aerial Vision may capture:

  • Video
  • Thermal footage
  • Photos

These may be used for:

  • Training
  • Documentation
  • Marketing (unless otherwise requested in writing)

13. Independent Contractor Status

KC Aerial Vision LLC operates as an independent service provider and is not liable for:

  • Third-party services
  • Volunteer involvement
  • External recovery efforts

14. Agreement

By completing a booking or purchase, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understand these terms
  • You accept all risks associated with animal recovery efforts
  • You agree to all policies outlined above
