How the Search Process Works

    1. Select your pet type above
Choose dog or cat so we approach the search correctly from the start.

    2. Quick intake & location review
We gather last-seen details, timing, and behavior clues to form a search plan.

    3. Targeted ground & aerial search
When appropriate, thermal drone support is used to scan areas pets often hide or travel through.

    4. Guided recovery support
If your pet is located, we help guide next steps to safely recover them without causing them to flee.

This process is designed to be fast, calm, and structured — especially during stressful situations.

Dogs and Cats Behave Very Differently When Lost

Understanding behavior is just as important as search tools.

Lost Dogs

• Often travel farther than expected
• May follow roads, trails, or scent paths
• Can move quickly when frightened
• May respond to familiar voices or routines

Search strategy focuses on movement patterns, distance, and timing.

Lost Cats

• Almost always stay close — usually within a few houses
• Hide silently under decks, sheds, brush, or foundations
• Rarely respond to calls when scared
• Can remain unseen even when nearby

Search strategy focuses on thermal detection, slow scanning, and hiding zones.

This is why selecting the correct pet type above matters.

Why Drone & Thermal Support Can Make a Difference

Lost pets don’t always move when called — especially at night or when frightened.

Thermal imaging allows us to:
• Detect heat signatures in darkness or heavy cover
• Identify animals hiding under structures or brush
• Search large areas quickly without disturbing the pet
• Spot animals the human eye would miss

This technology is especially effective for lost cats, nighttime searches, and pets that are hiding or trapped.

You Don’t Have to Guess What to Do Next

If your dog or cat is missing, early action can make a difference — but panic doesn’t help.
Start by selecting the type of pet you’re searching for, and we’ll guide you from there.

This service is designed for immediate-response situations. Extended or non-emergency searches are evaluated separately.

What Happens Next

1. You call to discuss timing and the last known location.
2. Availability, conditions, and feasibility are confirmed.
3. If appropriate, dispatch is authorized and deployment begins.

Jay is our families hero! Little Buoy boy was running for over 9 hours and once Jay got on sight with my daughter, he was probably found within an hour. My daughter was riding with him and updating all of the searchers where his last pings were. He was able to spot him and lead the rescuers(also our hero’s) right to him. If I had it to do all over again, he would be my 1st call, he is that good! Did I mention how compassionate he was with a very anxious puppy Mom, Jay you have a heart of gold! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Jay is my leading hero! My puppy golden got out last night in the frigid dropping temps. He was on the run for about 9 hours. Jay was able to use his services with his drone to detect motion and visuals in the area where Buoy’s AirTag was pinging. He was so kind, patient and was not going to give up til we got my baby home. He lead the men who ended up rescuing him to his location. He saved my family and my puppy! I could not reccommend him enough. Thank you, Jay.

I cannot say enough good things about Jay and his drone services!! On one of the coldest nights of the year, my dear friend’s dog got out and had been lost for hours. Jay brought his drone to the last suspected sighting of the dog. He was able to locate the dog, follow the dog with the drone as people moved on foot, in the cold, down the ravine, through the thicket, and were able to get the dog. That sweet pup would not be home safe and sound without Jay’s help. He was not only a master of his trade, but also thorough, kind and compassionate during the chaos of the search. If my dog ever gets lost, Jay will be my first phone call! Thank you so much for everything you did last night to reunite my friend with her dog!
